This report is prepared for Gippsland Ports by EconoSearch in collaboration with Roberts Evaluation to undertake an economic impact assessment of the value of the contribution of commercial fishing conducted from Lakes Entrance to the local and state economies. The four indicators used in the report are: output, employment, household income and gross state/regional product. The report concludes that in East Gippsland the direct output generated from the commercial fishing industry and related industries is estimated to be around $35m.
