NEW YEAR’S EVE – FIREWORKS DISPLAYS
DATE: 30th December 2021
DETAILS: Mariners are advised that on Saturday 31st December 2022 there will be two separate on-water fireworks display celebrating the New Year at the following approximate locations within the Port of Gippsland Lakes.
Lake Victoria, Paynesville, Commencing at 2130hrs
Lat. 37° 55.350’ South
Lon. 147° 43.033’ East Datum WGS84
Cunninghame Arm, Lakes Entrance, commencing at Midnight
Lat. 37° 88.097’ South
Lon. 147° 99.206’ East Datum WGS84
The fireworks shall be fired from barges anchored near the above positions. Safety exclusion zones will be established around the firing sites and Mariners are directed to keep clear and heed directions given by patrol staff to maintain safe distances.
Mariners are further advised that the fireworks display may be visible for a significant distance offshore from the Gippsland Lakes
