DETAILS: Mariners are advised that The Gippsland Ports Construction Barge “Gippslander” and the Tug “Albatross” will be involved with the rebuild of the Mitchell River Lower Landing commencing Friday 14th January 22.
A materials barge will also be moored parallel with the riverbank on the western side of Jetty.
The project is expected to take approximately 6 to 8 weeks to complete.
The barges will be marked at night by multiple lights (Fl.Y.3s)
Mariners are advised to take extra precaution when transiting the entrance to the Mitchell River and to pass the construction site at slow speed to reduce wash.
Other Gippsland Ports vessels may be in the vicinity of the construction site from time to time.
