DETAILS: Mariners are advised that the Eastern Approach to Hollands Landing through Lake Victoria has now been marked with the following lit beacons;
- McLennan Strait Eastern Approach Light Beacon (Fl.R.3s)
- McLennan Strait Beacon No.2 (Fl.R.3s)
- McLennan Strait Beacon No.4 (Fl.R.3s)
- McLennan Strait Beacon No.6 (Fl.R.3s)
- McLennan Strait Beacon No.8 (Fl.R.3s)
- McLennan Strait Beacon No.10 (Fl.R.3s)
- McLennan Strait Beacon No.12 (Fl.R.3s) LNN No.5 of 2022 refers
Due to the approach channel now being lit and the condition of the ageing structure of the Light Tower the Hollands Landing Sector Light, in position;
- Lat. 38° 03.276’ S Lon. 147° 27.623’ E Datum WGS84
has been withdrawn from service.
