To help to maintain the health of the Gippsland Lakes, Gippsland Ports provides sewage pump-out facilities at a number of different locations around the Lakes.

Boaters on the Lakes are never too far from a pump-out when their holding tank is full. Sanitation jetty locations include Loch Sport Mooring Jetty, Paynesville Fuel Jetty, Bullock Island Fuel Jetty, Lakes Entrance Eastern Boat Harbour and Port of Sale. There are also sewage hoppers to empty portable systems at many of the boat ramps around the Gippsland Lakes.

Due to minimal use, the floating sewage pump-out barge which was moored in Bunga Arm has been decommissioned and is no longer in service. Boaters are advised to empty their tanks at either Paynesville or Duck Arm instead.

Gippsland Ports encourages the use of holding tanks in all vessels to help keep the waterways clean. If you notice any problems with any of our facilities, please contact Gippsland Ports on (03) 51 500 500 or by email feedback@gippslandports.vic.gov.au.

For exact locations of pump-out facilities and any further information on Swing Moorings, Aids to Navigation and local boating conditions, please visit the Gippsland Ports Website page https://www.gippslandports.vic.gov.au/boating/waterways-online/ and select the Gippsland Lakes option.
