Notice To Mariners

Port of Gippsland Lakes

Location: Entrance to Cunninghame Arm

DATE:  14 March 2018

DETAILS:  Mariners are advised that a recent bathymetric survey has identified shoaling at the entrance to Cunninghame Arm has progressed and has produced a least depth of 1.7 metres at LAT.

The shoal with least depths below 2.0 metres LAT extends from a position approximately 35 metres to the north west of the “Green Light” at the entrance to Cunnighame Arm (Fl.G.3s) in a north westerly direction for a distance of approximately 75 metres.

The attached copy of the latest survey is forwarded to assist mariners to determine their approach track for entry to Cunninghame Arm.

Gippsland Ports shall commence dredging the area as soon as it is operationally practical. A further Notice shall follow.
