DETAILS:  Mariners are advised that several Parks Victoria Jetties have been damaged by the recent severe bushfires. An inspection has now been carried out of the extent of the damage resulting in the following jetties being marked to warn vessel operators.

1/ Gravelly Point Jetty has been marked with a lit no boating buoy (Fl.(2).3s) in position;

  • Lat.    37⁰ 30.352’ S
  • Lon. 149⁰ 44.513’ E                 Datum WGS 84

2/ Genoa Fire Trail Jetty has been marked with a lit no boating buoy (Fl.(2).3s) in position;

  • Lat.    37⁰ 29.771’ S
  • Lon. 149⁰ 42.191’ E                 Datum WGS84

3/ Sou’West Arm Jetty has been marked with a lit no boating buoy (Fl.(2).3s) in position;

  • Lat.    37⁰ 30.476’ S
  • Lon. 149⁰ 41.710’ E                 Datum WGS84

4/ Captain Creek Jetty has been marked with a lit pole (Fl.3s) in position;

  • Lat.    37⁰ 31.247’ S
  • Lon. 149⁰ 43.100’ E                 Datum WGS84

5/ Kingfisher Point Jetty has been marked with a lit pole (Fl.3s) in position;

  • Lat.    37⁰ 31.098’ S
  • Lon. 149⁰ 46.517’ E                 Datum WGS84

Mariners are advised to stay clear of fire damaged jetties until remedial works can be arranged and are reminded that rising flood water may cover some or all the remains of the jetty infrastructure at times.
