DETAILS:  Mariners are advised that the No.3 Starboard hand buoy in the Anderson Inlet Channel has been relocated due to changed channel configuration.
The No.3 buoy has been re-established in the following position:

  • Lat. 38° 38.272’ S. Long. 145° 43.817’ E. Datum – WGS84

Mariners are reminded of the dynamic nature of the seabed at this inner entrance location and that the channel, although marked, may not carry water at certain stages of the tide cycle.

Mariners should not attempt to navigate the inner entrance channel or ocean access bar without sound local knowledge and a thorough understanding of environmental conditions and tide cycles. Notice to Mariners 221-2016.
