Boating Facilities

Vessel operators are requested to observe the time limits of the statewide “Colour Coded Berthing Zones” when using public facilities within the Port/waterway.

GIPPSLAND PORTS MANAGES THE FOLLOWING FACILITIES:

All swing mooring areas

Limited numbers of swing mooring areas are located at Port Albert, Port Welshpool Manns Beach and Yanakie.

Slipping facilities for vessels up to 3 tonne. Prior approval required.	The main wharf provides access for loading/unloading. Sections of the wharf are available for itinerate berthing.	Permanent permit berthing only.

Permanent permit berthing and access for loading/unloading of catch/cargo by prior arrangement. Small section for temporary berthing on central section of wharf. Annual and short-term berthing is available on selected facilities (*) by application to the Port Manager South Gippsland. Commercial vessels should contact Gippsland Port's office in Port Welshpool for current berth and channel information.

Wellington Shire

McLoughlins Beach boat ramp and jetty
Access restricted by tidal conditions. Loading and unloading only on boat ramp side.

Manns Beach boat ramp
Access restricted by tidal conditions. Recommended for smaller craft only.

Port Albert boat ramp and floating jetty
Accessible in all tidal conditions. A tide board is situated nearby on the main wharf. Vessel operating and zoning rules apply. Loading and unloading only on both sides.

Yanakie Beach boat ramp
Access restricted by tidal conditions. Launching and recovery recommended around high tide.

Foster - Stockyard Creek landing
Access restricted by tidal conditions. Launching and recovery recommended around high tide.

Toora Beach boat ramp
Access restricted by tidal conditions. Launching and recovery recommended around high tide.

Port Welshpool boat ramp
Accessible in all tidal conditions. Excellent double boat ramp and associated jetties ensures easy launching of trailable boats with ample space for car and trailer parking. A tide board is situated on the nearby Fishermans Jetty. Vessel operating and zoning rules apply.

Parks Victoria

Snake Island Jetty
Jetty is available for temporary berthing on all sections.

ESSO

Barry Beach Terminal
Wharf only available to approved users and is a restricted area. Vessel operators to keep clear of facility.
