Boatyards & Slips
Gippsland Ports operates or manages five facilities spread across the various waterways. Paynesville is home to the largest operation, housing a boatyard with a full range of maintenance activities, a 40t travel lift, the largest capacity slip (120 tonne) between Westernport Bay and the NSW border and a fully enclosed environmentally controlled spray painting booth. Bullock Island boatyard operates a 100t travel lift to cater for the larger vessels, whilst Port Welshpool slip can handle vessels up to 75 tonne whilst Mallacoota is certified to 16 tonne. Port Franklin slip is leased to a private operator under licence and is certified for vessels up to 4 tonne.
PAYNESVILLE BOATYARD & SLIPWAY
Conveniently located on prime water frontage at Paynesville, renown as the leisure boating capital of the Gippsland Lakes, the facility provides vessel owners with a major boat launching and retrieval facility, consisting of a 120 tonne slipway and a 40 tonne vessel lift.

BULLOCK ISLAND BOATYARD
Travel Lift capable of lifting vessels up to 100 tonne, with a fitted 3 tonne jib crane available for stepping masts, engine lift outs etc. Hardstand area can cater for up to 8 large vessels. |
